Hillside Croft is a superb, historic grade II listed, luxury self catering character cottage dating back to 1709. This delightful Derbyshire sandstone country cottage has ancient oak beams in every room, inglenook fireplaces, revealed stone and timber walls giving character and charm alongside the luxury of modern amenities.

This beautiful self catering cottage is located within 6 acres of beautifully landscaped private and tranquil gardens with pastureland, in a peaceful rural location yet just a 10 minute walk from the nearest village which has 2 pubs both selling food. It is just a 10 minute drive from the pretty market town of Ashbourne and 1 mile from the beautiful surroundings and activities of Carsington Water. A short drive will take you into the Peak District National Park to enjoy some fantastic scenery and walks along the many picturesque Derbyshire Dales.  Bakewell, Wirksworth, Matlock Bath and Buxton are a short drive, taking you into the centre of the magnificent  Peak District.

Hillside has 5 comfortable, beautifully furnished bedrooms giving sleeping for 10 plus 4, having 4 double beds and 2 single beds plus 4 specially made single beds which fit under the eaves.   The master bedroom is en suite with shower ,WC and wash basin and there is a superb master bathroom with walk in shower and roll top bath, top mounted sink and WC. There is a 3rd WC off the downstairs cloakroom.

For those who love cooking, this delightful self-catering cottage has a lovely hand made farmhouse style kitchen and is extremely well equipped for a large group holiday, hen parties and families are most welcome . With a most attractive dining room which has a cosy log fire under a magnificent inglenook fireplace it is a perfect place to wine and dine with family and friends. The cosy lounge also has a log stove adding to the ambiance of this delightful cottage, a large flat screen TV and DVD, CD player, radio and IPOD dock are provided. Beautifully furnished throughout in antique pine and coordinating fixtures and décor, with the addition of full central heating, this is a truly warm and welcoming, character cottage of quality for you to enjoy.

We welcome large groups, for those special celebrations and responsible hens and stags are also welcome. This is a wonderful party cottage to enjoy, in which families and friends can relax, unwind. Meals and pampering can be arranged to enhance your stay and there are a host of activities that can be available at the cottage or nearby. Hillside Croft now boasts its own private hot tub for guests to use, located in the stunning gardens.

Wi Fi is available throughout the cottage. The gardens have lawns and flower beds, with teak patio furniture, BBQ, Hot Tub, cycle storage and private off road secure parking for many cars.

All linen and towels are provided along with iron, ironing board, hairdryers, clothes airer, potty, changing mat, high chairs and toilet stand for children.

This  is a fabulous county for walking, through the many scenic Derbyshire Dales or atop the heather covered moorlands of the White and  Dark Peak. There are many cycle trails and cycle hire spots along them. Pretty villages, historic buildings and things to see and do abound in Derbyshire and will keep all ages fully occupied for your stay and for many visits to come.
